Sacred architecture has the power to anchor the body and choreograph its movement. Rift Zone No. 5 draws from Islamic architectural forms, reimagined here as an object designed to carry the body, part palanquin, part paramedic’s stretcher. It’s for holding both the sacred and the wounded.
